De-greening Rooms
De-greening is the process of removing the green colour (chlorophyl) from the skin of fruit after harvest using ethylene gas treatment.
Ripening Rooms
Ripening is the process in fruit that causes them to become more palatable. In general, fruit becomes sweeter, less green and softer as it ripens.
In both the De-greening & Ripening process, temperature, humidity, CO2 and ethylene levels are controlled using precision measuring instrumentation in conjunction with a PLC inside an insulated room.
Exact measurements enable us to control all levels accurately. This means a more efficient system as well as the ability to gather data. We further improve the efficiency of the system by utilising a refrigeration system in a heating cycle for temperature gains, instead of elements.
